Lip Fillers

Lip filler is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that involves injecting a gel-like substance into the lips to enhance their size, shape, and overall appearance. It is a popular option for achieving fuller and more defined lips.

Lip filler is typically made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that helps retain moisture and add volume. When injected into the lips, it adds plumpness and can be moulded to achieve the desired shape.

Dermal Fillers FAQ

What is lip filler?

Lip filler is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that involves injecting a gel-like substance into the lips to enhance their size, shape, and overall appearance. It is a popular option for achieving fuller and more defined lips.

Our lip filler treatments cost £240 per ml.

Please book a consultation so that we can discuss the amount of filler needed and the cost of your treatment.

How does lip filler work?

Lip filler is typically made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that helps retain moisture and add volume. When injected into the lips, it adds plumpness and can be moulded to achieve the desired shape.

What happens during the procedure?

We will cleanse the treatment area and may apply a numbing cream for your comfort. The filler is then injected into specific points on your lips to achieve the desired outcome. The procedure usually takes around 15-30 minutes.

Is the procedure painful?

While discomfort is subjective, most people experience minimal pain during the procedure. Numbing cream is often applied before treatment to help minimise any potential discomfort.

How long do the results last?

On average, lip filler results typically last around 6 to 9 months. Regular touch-up sessions can help maintain the desired look.

Are there any side effects?

Common side effects include swelling, bruising, and slight redness at the injection sites. These effects are usually temporary and subside within a few days.

Can I return to normal activities after the procedure?

Yes, you can typically resume your normal activities immediately after the procedure. However, it's advisable to avoid intense physical activities, excessive sun exposure, and saunas for a day or two.

Are the results reversible?

One advantage of hyaluronic acid fillers is that they are reversible. If you're unhappy with the results, an enzyme called hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the filler.

Can lip filler be combined with other treatments?

Yes, lip filler can be combined with other cosmetic procedures if desired, but it's important to discuss your goals and concerns with us to ensure a safe and effective approach.

How soon will I see the final results?

You'll likely see some initial results immediately after the swelling subsides, which may take a few days. The final results will become more apparent as swelling continues to decrease.
